William Webb, Jr.

William L Webb Jr. 59, of Tifton Ga passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 surrounded by his family at Baptist Medical Center in Jacksonville Fla. Mr. Webb was born in Adel, Ga on Sept 6,1962 to the late William L Webb and the late Margaret Hutchinson Davis. Mr. Webb was a member of Freewill Baptist Church. He was a Colquitt County High School Graduate and attended Abraham Baldwin College and Valdosta State University. He was employed at Walmart Pharmacy DC 6013 in Tifton Ga. as an Asset Protection Security Guard. He was a devoted son, a loving husband, father, nephew, and cousin. And most of all the best "Pop Pop" to his grandchildren.
Mr. Webb is survived by his wife, Charlotte Webb of Tifton, Ga; children, Cass Baker of Arabi, Ga. Carlie (Lance) Purvis of Chula, Ga. and Caraline (Abel) Gomez of Tifton, Ga; grandchildren, Bryson Purvis, Brantley Purvis, Charley Purvis, Natalie Gomez and Mili Gomez; sister in laws Laurel (Donnie) Pearson of Enigma, Ga. and Donna Yancey of Greenville, SC and several aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Webb was preceded in death by his mother and father, and his grandparents, Clarence Hutchinson and Julia Hutchinson. William, "Pop Pop" was a family man and loved his family. He adored his grandchildren and they adored him. He will be missed and never forgotten. William enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, watching football, and watching NASCAR racing. He was a big Kyle Busch, Ga Bulldog and Colquitt County Packers fan. Thank you to The Community Hospice & Pallative Care in Jacksonville Fla. for all of the care and support.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Parker officiating. Interment will follow at Springhill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service. Serving as active pallbearers are Cass Baker, Lance Purvis, Brantley Purvis, Abel Gomez, Ryan Taylor, Chad Bennett, and Stephen Bennett. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be the Walmart D C #6013 EHS.
