Wava Harrell Obituary

Mrs. Wava Nell Harrell, 77 of Adel passed away Monday, July 30, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Harrell was born May 29, 1941 to the late Sammie & Lessie Fender Simmons. She was a school bus driver with the Cook County Board of Education before retiring.

Survivors include her daughter, April (Thomas) Sevek of Adel; several nieces & nephews. Mrs. Harrell was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Harrell; two brothers, Melvin Simmons, and R. T. Simmons; two sisters, Ruby Jordan and Wilma Smith.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Gary James, and Rev. John R. Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
