Vivian Peacock

Vivian Peacock, 78 of Adel passed away Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at his residence. Mrs. Peacock was born June 10, 1944 in Quitman to the late Bill & Edna Lucille Chany Evett. She worked as a nurse with Cook Convalescent Center before she retired. She enjoyed cooking and making floral arrangements. Mrs. Peacock also loved her family.

Survivors include her sons, Darren (Shelly) Peacock of Adel, and Stephen Peacock of Adel; grandchildren, Lauren (Dayle) Prue, Garrett (Alex) Lanier, Anzleigh Peacock, and Emily (Sam) Harper; great grandchildren, Olivia Prue, Amelia Prue, and Cecilia Prue; brothers, Edward Richard (Sandra) Evett of Ringgold, GA, Joseph Raymond (Dorothy) Evett of Social Circle, GA, & William Ralph Evett of Valdosta; sisters, Evelyn Eddna Russell of Ft. Worth TX, Betty Ann (Jerry) Lane of Hahira, & Judy Elaine (Mike) Martin of Liberty, SC. Mrs. Peacock was preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin Peacock; sister, Susan Linda Evett ; and sister in law, Judy Evett. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 29, 3033 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Tommy Bussey officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
