Trey Hewett

Mr. James Perry Hewett III "Trey", 61 of Quitman passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Hewett was born April 10, 1960 and is the son of the late James P. Hewett, Sr. "Sonny" and Glenda J. Hewett. Trey was an Eagle Scout and attended Brooks Co. Schools, class of 1978. He attended Thomas C. Tech.

He is preceded in death by his father and his brother John Hewett. Survivors include his mother, Glenda Hewett; his significant friend, Donna Daily; his children, James (Jennifer) Hewett, Justin Hewett, and Joshua Hewett; and a host of cousins and friends.

A graveside service will be held Friday, January 7, 2022 at 12:00 p.m. at Oak Hill with Rev. Steve Shierling officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel at Maxwell Purvis Funeral Home.
