July 18, 1963 ~ January 5, 2024 (age 60) 60 Years Old
Tim Dixon, 60, of Adel, passed away at his residence on January 5, 2024. Tim was born in Mulberry, FL on July 18, 1963, to the late Johnny Dixon and Betty Mills Dixon. Tim, a dedicated truck driver, and spent a significant portion of his life on the road before he retired. However, whenever he found himself back home, he took every moment to live a happy life with his family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter who loved the outdoors. In his free time, you could often find him outside riding on the dirt roads. Tim loved spending time with his family, especially when he got to grill for them. Tim's playful nature and love for laughter made him a natural jokester, which brought lots of joy to those around him. One of the most important aspects of Tim’s life was his only grandson, Connor. He thought the world of him and he spent every moment he could with him.
Survivors include his wife, Dina Browning-Dixon of Adel; daughter, Cayla Hooper-Bright (Steven Bright) of Adel; grandson, Connor Bright; sister, Wendy (Jeff) Tuttle of Ocilla; and niece, Amanda Gibbs of Adel. Tim is preceded in death by his brother, George Wayne Dixon, and his nephew, Christopher Wayne Dixon.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Antioch Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home.
