Thomas Plair, Sr.

Mr. Thomas Plair, Sr, 72 of Enigma passed away Friday, December 24, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Plair was born January 5, 1949 to the late Sam Thomas & Nellie Smith Plair. He enjoyed fishing, riding his motorcycles, and to scratch lottery tickets. Mr. Plair loved his dogs.

Survivors include his children, Marita Jo Plair of Moultrie, and Kathy Exum (Gerald McLean) of Enigma; 9 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren and two great twins on the way; brother, Otis Lee (Debbie) Plair of Tifton; and sister, Martha (Steve) Wood of Chula. Mr. Plair was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Plair; and son, Thomas Michael Plair, Jr.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 2, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Mr. Ricky Altman officiating. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sycamore. Serving as active pallbearers are Jeff Exum, Marcus Wood, Gerald McLean, Randall Plair, Ty Phillipps, Troy McStephenson, and Clayton Connell. Honorary pallbearer is Johnny Walker. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family ask that you bring a dollar scratch off ticket to be left with Mr. Plair.
