Shirley Ann Long, 77 of Sparks passed away Friday, September 2, 2022 at her son, Steve Brady's home in Nashville surrounded by her family. Shirley was born December 1, 1944 to the late Ben & Nellie Griffin Luke. She was a member of Sparks First Baptist Church. Shirley worked for 20 years as a CNA with Memorial Home Health and enjoyed cooking and loved her family.
Survivors include her children, Steve Brady of Nashville, and Ricky (Selena) Brady of Nashville; grandchildren, Lane (Hannah) Riley of Blairsville, Deven (Alex) Brady of Thomasville, Ridge Brady of Albany, Katie Riley of Adel, and Luke (Reagan) Brady Nashville; great grandchildren, Rayland Brady, Memphis Brady, Skylee Clendenen, Zoey Clendenen, and Blakley Jade Brady; step grandchildren, Jason Clendenen, John Livingston, and Paris Livingston; and two sisters, Jane (Bobby) Sumner of Sparks, and Jennie Spikes of Alapaha. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband, Morris "Bud" Long; daughter, Dana Riley; granddaughter, Jade Brady; brothers, Billy Luke, and Bobby Luke; and sisters, Pat Morris and Geneva Bennett.
Funeral services will be held Monday, September 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. William Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery Annex. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
