Sharon Lynne Tyree

Mrs.Sharon Tyree 56 of Adel passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Tyree was born March 1, 1964 in Murfreesboro, TN. She worked with Alday, Wright & Giles P C as an Administrative Assistant. 

Sharon Lynne Tyree was mine and Michael's mother. She was a single mother for a long time early on, working 2 jobs and going to college ... where she met David. She was strong motivated and one amazing mother! My mom was a lot of things of course a mom, but also a daughter, a sister, an aunt, a great aunt, a friend, a wife but her greatest role and greatest joy was being Nana. When grandkids came into the picture, it was obvious that she was even greater of a Nana than any jobs or roles she ever had before That was her true calling. The kids were her joy and passion. She lived to bring joy to their lives. She worked 40 hour work weeks but still wanted every grandkid, niece, nephew, neighbor kids, friends kids over to hang out and play games and do crafts and so many more fun, exciting things. She loved every single bit of it She lived for the kids and they were all considered her grandkids and called her Nana. We can take solace in knowing that she is watching down on all her kids every day.

Mama was a lot of things, but we will always know and remember her as the best, most loving Nana anyone could have possibly asked for. We will miss you so incredibly much. Dakota said, "Nothing will ever be the same with her gone. I can't even look up at the stars. They even look different." I agree.

Survivors include her husband, David Tyree of Adel; children, Michael Combass of Adel, and Kim (Josh) Wilson of Adel; grandchildren, Austin Wilson, Dakota Fulghum, and Laila Wilson; parents, Glenn & Betty Myers of Adel; and brother, Bart Myers of GA.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Ronnie Combass officiating. Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
