Mr. Roy W. Joiner, a Vietnam Veteran and retired Air Conditioning and Refrigeration technician and business owner, died unexpectedly on Friday, April 24, 2020 in Adel, GA.
Roy is survived by his two sons, Joshua Joiner and Christopher Joiner, and his two grandchildren, Landin Joiner and Ashlynn Joiner.
Roy was born in Des Moines, IA on July 2, 1952 to Needham and Juanita Joiner. He graduated from Saydel High, Class of 1970 and after high school he was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as a helicopter door gunner and crew chief during the Vietnam War. After returning home from the war, Roy moved to Dallas, TX where he worked at Love Field airport and attended Air Conditioning & Refrigeration school. After graduating A/C & R school, he opened up his own business known as Roy’s Heating and Air, where he served the Dallas/Fort Worth area for over 25 years before retiring. Roy had since resided in The Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri, Arkansas, Jupiter, FL and Adel, GA. Roy’s favorite things to do were coaching little league baseball, fishing and camping.
