Roger Walker, Sr. Obituary

Mr. Roger Walker, Sr, 79 of West Berrien passed away Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Roger was born July 27, 1944 in Sarasota, FL and served in the United States Army during the Vietnam. After service, Roger started working as a truck driver for many businesses. He became a member of Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his family and was an awesome man, just a big teddy bear.

Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Sue Fletcher Walker of West Berrien; children, Ken (Lisa) Graham of West Berrien, and Marci (Richard) White of West Berrien; grandson, Will White; brother, Duane Jekyll of Virginia; and several nieces & nephews. Roger was preceded in death by his sister, Fannie Fletcher. 

Funeral services will be held Sunday, February 25, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Jim Williams officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Saturday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Purvis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Disabled American Veterans, P O Box 14301, Cincinnati, OH 45250.
