Robert Bass Obituary

Mr. Robert Bass, 74 of Quitman passed away Friday, January 1, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Bass was born February 2, 1946 to the late James Columbus Bass and Aline Roach Bass. He served in the United States Army and retired from Precision Industries. Mr. Bass was a member of Ochlawilla Baptist Church.

Survivors incude his children, Ashley (Beth) Bass of Tallahassee, and Aimee (Jamie) Carroll of Madison, FL; grandchildren, Jordan Carroll, Heath Carroll, Breanna (Kyle) McGee and Isabella Bass; great grandchild, Rhett McGee; several nieces & nephews; sister, Dorothy (Jimmy) O'neal of Greenville, FL. and brother, Lamar (Brenda) Bass. Mr. Bass was preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Bass; and sisters, Carolyn Rhodes and Jean Edmisten.

Graveside services will be held Monday, January 4, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Columbia Cemetery with Rev. Dewey Fountain. The family will be receiving friends Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Ochlawilla Baptist Church Building Fund.
