Mrs. Nancy Dianne Jefferson Hopson, 74 of Adel passed away July 23, 2021 at Langdale Hospice House in Valdosta, GA. She was born on October 31, 1946 in Hahira and lived most of her life in Cook County. Her parents were the late Hamp and Mattie Ruth Boyette Jefferson. Mrs. Hopson was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, as well as a homemaker and the wife of a 22 year retired Army Veteran. Mrs. Hopson played the piano and organ for many churches during her lifetime.
Mrs. Hopson is survived by her two daughters and sons in law, Paula Ann and Loren Dyer of Sarasota, Florida, and Vanessa and Glen Dyer of Adel; brother and sister in law, Rev. Ike and Lisa Jefferson of Sparks; two sisters in law, and two brothers in law, David Drew of Hahira, Ann Marie and Larry Bennett of Marianna, FL. and Virginia Adams of Albany, GA; a host of beloved nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hopson was preceded in death by her husband, Paul F. Hopson; brother, Noah Jefferson; sister, Elizabeth "Libby" Drew, three brothers in law, Bobby Hopson, Carl Sizemore, and John Adams; father in law and mother in law, Loyd and Ruvene Hopson of Lenox
Funeral services will be held Monday, July 26, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church one hour pior to the service. Serving as pallbearers are J. D. Drew, Timothy Drew, Stephen Drew, Scott Connell, Chris Hood, and Charles Hall.
