Mrs. Mildred "Wava" Watson Stephens, 85 of Sparks went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Stephens was born January 31, 1933 to the late Thomas Aaron Watson & Elon Estel Bennett Watson. She retired from The Southeast Bank in Satellite Beach, Fl. and was of the Holiness Faith.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Myers Stephens of Adel; one son, Michael Robert Stephens of Sparks; one brother, Lawton Watson of Adel; two sisters, Lucille Hobby of Ashburn, and Cora Mae Sumner of Sparks; and sister in law, Alice Faye Watson of Jeffersonville, Indiana. Mrs. Stephens was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Stephens; and two brothers, Bobby Watson, and Colin Watson.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Community Calvary Holiness Church with Rev. Vernon Hughes, Rev. John R. Walker, and Rev. Jonathan Walker officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home. Serving as active pallbearers will be Steve Vick, Scott Shealey, Dale Hobby, Justin Shealey, Scotty Hobby, and Van Sumner. Honorary pallbearers are Junior Bennett, Junior Folds, Eston Rentz, Gene Gibson, Joel Watson, and Buddy McGill.
