Michael Abbott

Michael Abbot, 65, of Adel passed away October 26, 2023, at his residence. Mr. Abbott was born September 26, 1958, in Alma, Georgia to the late John and Mary Abbott. Michael will be fondly remembered as a man of remarkable kindness and a true friend to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was an avid fisherman who will leave behind a legacy that ripples through the lives he touched, both on the water and on dry land.

Michael leaves behind his “Sweet Caroline”, Carol Walker of Adel; daughters, Lana (Craig) Siska of Adel, Angie (Damond) Wood of Adel, and Kim Abbott of TyTy; brothers, Johnny (Sherry) Abbott of Warner Robins; sisters, Mildred (Michael) Abee of Brunswick and Pamela Barnett of Brunswick; grandchildren, Toby (Isabella) Patterson, Sammi Siska, Courtney (Daniel) Faborito, Terri (Brandon) Faircloth and three others; great-grandchildren, Elaina Faircloth, Ivy Faborito, Mikah Pafford, and Emma Fackler. Michael was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Freddie Abbot and Eddie Abbott. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 28, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Westview Cemetery in Nashville. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday at 2 P.M. at Purvis Funeral Home.
