Melvin Linaer Parramore

Mr. Melvin Parramore, 86 of Adel passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Parramore was born June 28, 1934 in Mt. Pleasant, Florida. He served four years in the United States Air Force. Mr. Parramore worked at Weyerhaeuser before he retired.

Mr. Parramore was preceded in death by his wife, Rochelle Parramore; and sons, Stacey Parramore and Jessie Parramore. Survivors include his son, Donald Parramore of Adel; five grandchildren, Kynlee Parramore of Adel, Todd Parramore of Adel, Shane and Jade Parramore of Valdosta, Kirby Parramore of Adel; five great grandchildren, Maggie Matthews of Adel, Kattyn Parramore of Adel, Hope Parramore of Adel, Tristan and Aubryn Parramore of Valdosta; sisters, Velma O'Neail of Carabell FL, Ann lee of Carabell, FL; brothers, Roland Parramore of Mt. Pleasant, FL, James Parramore of Mt. Pleasant Fl< and David Parramore of Mt. Pleasant, FL.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Woodlawn City Cemetery with Rev. Vernon Hughes officiating, and the VVA Chapter #1090 of Adel will be providing military rites. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
