MARY EVANS, 88 OF TIFTON PASSED AWAY THURSDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2021 AT LEGACY VILLAGE. MARY WAS BORN JANUARY 6, 1933 TO THE LATE Allan Sindt and Lucy B Carswell Sindt.

MARY WAS A SHINNING EXAMPLE OF THE BEST QUALITIES A PERSON CAN EMBODY.  HER LIFE IS A REFLECTION OF THOSE QUALITIES. FIRST AND FORMOST SHE WAS A DEVOTED WIFE TO HER LATE HUSBAND, BOB FOR 40 YRS. SHE WAS A NURTURING, DUTIFUL MOTHER TO HER SON, ALLAN AND DAUGHTER, BARBARA. SHE GAVE US A LIFE TIME OF ENCOURAGEMENT AND SUPPORT. SHE WAS VITAL IN RAISING HER GRANDSON SCOTT, SHE PROVIDED EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO ENRICH HIS LIFE. EVENTHOUGH MARY LIVED IN 4 DIFFERENT STATES SHE WAS A RELIABLE GENEROUS CONSTANT FOR HER EXTENDED FAMILY. SHE WAS ALWAYS THERE WHEN NEEDED.

MARYS PROFESSSIONAL LIFE WAS EXEMPLARY. THRU HER DILIGENCE SHE ACHIEVED THE HIGHEST LEVEL GS15, AS AN EXECUTIVE SECRETARY FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF THE INTERIOR IN WASHINGTON D.C. HER DESIRE TO BE THE BEST AND ACHIEVE MADE HER A LEADER IN ALL HER ENDEAVOURS. THE AWARDS AND ACCOLADES ARE SO NUMEROUS BUT TO NAME A FEW; MARINE CORP, WIFE OF THE YEAR, DIRECTOR OF SENIOR CENTER IN DELAWARE, GIRL SCOUT LEADER FOR SENIOR AND JUNIOR TROOPS, LEADER OF TOPS “TAKE OF POUNDS SENSIBLY”, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER OR VOLUNTEER AT EVERY CHURCH SHE ATTENDED. VOLUNTEER ASSISTANT FOR THE VET CLINIC KINGSLAND MILITARY BASE. LASTLY, PINK LADY, LEAD ORGANIZER OF THE VOLUNTEERS AT TIFT REGIONAL HOSPITAL.

MARY LEAD A FULL AND EXCELLENT LIFE. WHERE EVER SHE WENT SHE MADE A DIFFERENCE. HER SMILE, HER HUGS, HER ENCOURAGING WORDS, HER EXCELLENCE MADE THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE. SHE WILL GREATLY BE MISSED AND LOVINGLY REMEMBERED.

MARY IS SURVIVED BY HER SON, ALLAN AND WIFE KAREN; DAUGHTER BARBARA AND HUSBAND CARLOS; SISTER GEORGIA; NEPHEW CHET AND NIECE MELANIE; GRANDSON SCOTT AND WIFE LESLIE, AND MANY CARING FAMILY MEMBERS AND COUNTLESS FRIENDS.
