Marie Delarosa

Marie Delarosa, 49 of Adel passed away January 5, 2022 due to injuries sustained from an automobile accident. She was born March 9, 1972 in Tifton and spent most of her childhood in Tifton and later she moved to Cook County. After graduating from high school, she attended Moultrie Tech and received her Practical Nursing Degree in 2001. Marie is remembered for her outgoing personality, bright smile and beautiful blue eyes. She was a beautiful person inside and out. Her children and grandchildren were the center of her whole world, Marie loved her family more than life itself.

Survivors include her children, Corey (Crystal) Delarosa of Hahira, Taylor Newbern of Hahira, and Chandler Newbern of Adel; children's father, Chad Newbern of Adel; grandchildren, Keaton Delarosa, Blakely Delarosa, and Lawson Haines; father, Charles Napier of Adel; brother, Tony (Kathy) Spires of Lenox; sister, Michelle Delarosa of Sparks; special friend, Stephen Rogers of Ty Ty; nephews, Alex Delarosa, Robert "Buster" Wolfe, and Johnathan Wolfe; nieces, Alexus Spires, Katelyn Wolfe, Ashlee Wells, and Amber Brown. Marie was preceded in death by her father, Tony Spires; and her mother, Margie Nell Lightsey.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Mr. Chris Miley officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Tifton. The family will be receiving friends from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. before the service. Serving as pallbearers are Spencer Morgan, Brent Morgan, Robert Wolfe, Barry Morgan, Terry Miley, and Joe Miley.
