Margie Kauffman

Mrs. Margie Kauffman, 80 of Ray City passed away Friday July 2, 2021 at Langdale Hospice House. Mrs. Kauffman was born June 11, 1941 to the late Maurice Rhoades Bagby and Anna Reed Bagby. She attended Hemstead Church and was a born again Christian. Mrs. Kauffman was a great wife, mother, and grandmother. She taught as a Sunday School teacher in three states. She worked with NASA and had her own business. Mrs. Kauffman was out going, vibrant personality loved everyone and was a friend to all.

Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Kauffman of Ray City; children, Kenneth E. (Becky) Kauffman of Rapid City, South Dakota, Rabecka (Jim) Passwaters of Greenwood, Delware, and Jean Metzer of Barney; grandchildren, Kirsten Schoen, Jimmy Passwaters, Larry Passwaters, Kenneth Eric Kauffman, Nicholas Kauffman, Testa Kauffman, Glenn Kauffman, Nathan Metzer, and Gary Metzer; great grandchildren, Colton Kauffman, and Corbin Kauffman; brothers, James Bagby, and Kenny Bagby; sisters, Beverly Bagby, and Dixie Bagby. Mrs. Kauffman was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Amanda Passwaters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 7, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Michael Bass officiating. Interment will follow at New Ramah Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
