Louise Williams

Louise Williams 81 of Barney passed away October 10, 2023 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Williams was born on September 27, 1942 to the late Van Dolen and Thelma Whitman Gunter, Jr. Louise was a former resident of Louisiana, where she lived for over 40 years. She moved back home to Georgia after selling the family business, Williams Inspection Service. Louise will be remembered for her fabulous dog training skills and her love for her dogs. She enjoyed many things in her life, especially fishing, trying her luck at casinos and traveling, especially to the mountains. 

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Williams of Barney; sons, Troy Williams of Louisiana, and Chip Williams of Barney; grandchildren, Alexis Logan Williams, Zachary Troy Williams, Victoria Lee Bihm, and John “Trey” Williams, III; great-grandchildren, Kaidence Rogers, Elizabeth Rogers, Weston Boyd Bihm, Landon Cade McCarty, and Brinson Robert McCarty. Louise is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Charles Gunter. 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 14, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Mount Zion Church at Campground Cemetery in Morven with Rev. John Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home.
