Obituary

Sharon Kay Kelley, 66 of Thomasville passed away Tuesday, April 11, 2023 at her home. Kay was born November 19, 1956 in Cairo, GA. She loved going to the beach and collecting sea shells. Kay liked sunflowers, loved all kind of animals and all children, which they called her "Mama Kay Kay."

Survivors include her husband, Cecil Kelley of Thomasville; mother, Eunice "Maw Maw" Whiddon; children, Crystal (Anthony) Hudgins of Thomasville, Justin (Christi) Mitchell of Pelham, Cecil Kelley of Lakeland, Jason Kelley of Blackshear, Katherine (Parker) Brown, Angel Tran of Kennesaw, and Jade Nguyen of Kennesaw; grandchildren, Christian Hudgins, Ethan Hudgins, Alyese Hudgins, Khloe Hudgins, Nickolas Mitchell, Haylee Hill, Nora Brown, & Mila Brown; brothers, Gary Whiddon of Thomasville, and Larry Whiddon of Thomasville; and sisters, Ann (Billy) Brown of Jacksonville, Fl, & Betty (Marvin) Highsmith of Barwick. Kay was preceded in death by her father, Carroll Whiddon.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Daughtry officiating. Interment will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery in Thomasville. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
