Judy Ann Meadows

Mrs. Judy Ann Meadows, 71 of Lenox passed away Sunday, August 22, 2021 at her residence. Mrs. Meadows was born July 28, 1950 to the late Bobbie Leon Webb & Bessie Dillard Webb. She was currently employed with the Colquitt County Sheriff's office. Her career in law enforcement started in the early 1990's. Mrs. Meadows had retired from the Tift County Sheriff's Department as shift supervisor of the jail and she had also worked with the Brooks County Sheriff's Department under several different roles.

Survivors include her husband, Lester Meadows of Lenox; sons, Steve (Ryane) Meadows of Lenox, Danny Meadows & Donna Weeks of Lenox, and Mitchell (Krista) Meadows of Lenox; daughter, Rebecca (Buddy) Dowdy of Enigma; 13 grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brother, Elton (Lavone) Webb of Valdosta; and two sisters, Pam (Johnny) Hawkins of Lenox, and Linda Hester of Lenox. 

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rocky Ezell officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Serving as active pallbearers are Tommy Meadows, Zackery Eldridge, Richard Webb, Johnny Hawkins, Bernie Bennett, and Christan Martin. Honorary pallbearers are Captain Cox, Jeffery Faircloth, Jeff Milton, Buddy Dowdy, Jim Martin, and Randy Benton.The family will be receiving friends at the residence of Linda Hester, 16141 Hwy 41, Lenox,Ga.
