Joyce LaVerne Reynolds

Joyce LaVerne Hodge Reynolds of Barney passed away March 22, 2021 at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta. LaVerne was born May 25, 1951 to the late Vernon Hodge and Rosa Mae Sapp Hodge of Quiman.

Survivor include her children, Jamie Smith and Nikki Hines of Quitman, Latrelle Waldron of Barney, Sean Smith of Barney and David and Heather Stephenson of Hahira; grandchildren, Dusty Smith, Aubrey Smith, Jarrett Smith, Kearselyn Smith, Brayden Smith, Claude Waldron, Melonie Smith, Hunter Stephenson, Gage Stephenson, Colin Stephenson, Dravin Stephenson, Gracelynn Stephenson, and England Stephenson; great grandchildren, Ella Smith, and James Smith; sisters, Carolyn and Buddy Simpson, Marie Howell, and Laurie Wood; brother, Wayne and Glenda Hodge; sister in law, Tina Hodge, and several nieces and nephews. LaVerne is preceded in death by her father Vernon Hodge; brother, William Hodge and niece, Jennifer Hodge.

Graveside services will be held Thursday, March 25, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Buck Crumley officiating. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home.
