Mrs. Joyce Pedrick, 85 of Quitman passed away November 26, 2018 at Langdale Hospice in Valdosta. Mrs. Pedrick was born March 13, 1933 to the late Coy & Gladys Plymale Parham. She was a member of Quitman United Methodist Church and also the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Mrs. Pedrick rescued and raised horses and believed in the healing power of horses. Mrs. Pedrick was an advocate of the humane society and felt her heart was most fulfilled with her faith and her family.
Survivors include her husband, Ed Pedrick of Quitman; children, Joey (Melissa) Pedrick of Quitman, Kim Pedrick (Trent) Barnes of Dallas, Tx., and Toi Pedrick (Robert Hardie) of Wisconisn; grandchildren, Raven (Brice) Hohenberger of Kapaa, HI, and Hunter Pedrick of Quitman; one sister, Janice Perkins of Leesburg, GA. Mrs. Pedrick was preceded in death by her grandson, Dustin Barnes.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Quitman United Methodist Church with Rev. Sally Flowers and Rev. Jay Roberson officiating. A private interment will follow at Concord Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday morning one hour prior to the service at the church. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Quitman United Methodist Church.
