John Mulvaney

Master Sergeant John G. Mulvaney, Sr., United States Marine Corps, Retired, of Morven, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2023. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather who loved and enjoyed being with his family, as well as hunting and fishing. John was an exemplary Marine who served our country with the utmost honor and courage. He also loved his Marine Corps and Tampa Port Security families. John was a member of both St. John’s Catholic Church and New Life Assembly of God Church.

He is survived by his wife and the love of his life, Peggy Mulvaney, and his son, John, Jr, who he was very proud of.  He is also survived by his brother Frank, his sisters Joan and Kathy, his grandchildren, Justin, Mya, Kayley, and Kendall, as well as many nieces and nephews, and other relatives, all much loved by him. He is preceded in death by his parents Frank and Helen, and his sister, Jean.

A graveside service with full military honors will be held at the Campground Cemetery in Morven, Georgia on August 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Arnold Hodum officiating.
