John Emmett Barrett

John Barrett, 30 of Adel passed away Sunday, March 20, 2022 from injuries sustained from an vehicle accident. John was born September 26, 1991 in Tifton, GA. John drove a semi truck and loved for his wife, Alyssa to be with him on their journeys together. He loved Alyssa and their fur babies very much.

Survivors include his parents, Emmett and Reba Barrett of Chatsworth, GA; fur babies, JoJo and Lulu; brother, Steven Alex Barrett of Chatsworth, GA; paternal grandfather, Emmett Wayne Barrett of Putney, Ga, and Barbara (Hilton) Griner of Nashville; maternal grandfather, Bobby Neal of Adel. John was preceded in death by his wife, Alyssa Barrett; and maternal grandmother, Julie Neal.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 24, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Noah Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at New Life Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-9 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
