Jimmy Joiner, III

Mr. Needham James "Jimmy" Joiner, III, 74 of Adel passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Joiner was born October 2, 1946 to the late Needham J. Joiner, Jr, and Juanita Thacker Joiner. He served in the United States Army. He was a supervisor with electrolux before retiring in 2013.

Survivors include his children, Doris (Randy) Faux of Earlham, IA, Jeannie Joiner (Todd Ramthum) of Carlisle, IA, and Susan Kyle of Des Moines, IA; nine grandchildren, 8 great grandchilden; and one great great grandchild; sisters, Patricia (Robert) Nisser of Scottsdale, AZ and Kathy Thompson of Mesa, AZ; "priss" his best friend; several nieces & nephews and extended family. Mr. Joiner was preceded in death by his brother, Roy Joiner; and sister Robin Walton.

Funeral servies will be held Saturday, May 15, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Dr. Danny V. Ray officiating. Interment will follow at Brushy Creek Church Cemetery with the VVA Chapter #1090 of Adel providing military rites. The family will be receiving friends Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home. Serving as active pallbearers ae Danny Nisser, Randy Faux, Dennis McConnell, Todd Ramthun, Chris Glaze, and Davis Fong. Honorary pallbearers are Bob Nisser and Josh Joiner.
