James Carlton Gunn

Mr. James Gunn, 64 of Sparks passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at his residence.  Mr. Gunn was born May 4, 1955 to the late James William Riley Gunn & Maudell Fender Gunn.  He worked as a diesel mechanic before he retired.

Survivors include his sons, James Carlton Gunn, Jr of GA, and Hendericks Riley Gunn of GA; grandson, Andres Williams Gunn (Brittany Trowell) of Sparks; sisters, Barbara (Jimmy) Amerson of Fitzgerald, and Mary (Bobby) Ross of Fitzgerald.  Mr. Gunn was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Gunn; brother, Billy Stephens; and sister, Carolyn Jacobs.

Funeral service will be held Friday at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Chaplain Warren Gilpin officiating.  The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service.
