James Dutton Obituary

James Dutton, 85, of Adel passed away on November 9, 2023, at Southwell Health and Rehab. Mr. Dutton was born in Valdosta on January 19, 1938, to the late Adelbert & Josephine Dutton. As a young man, he served his country as a member of the United States Air Force. After his military service, Mr. Dutton started a career at the Valdosta State University Police Department where he worked as a dispatcher. In his free time, Mr. Dutton enjoyed woodworking and watching his favorite shows and movies on TV.

Mr. Dutton is survived by his son, Donald Dutton of Jacksonville, FL; brother, Sam Dutton of Valdosta; sister, Martha Dutton of Washington State; and niece, Katherine (Mike) Miley of Valdosta. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lariue Dutton, and his parents.
