Herman Padgett

Mr. Herman Padgett, 73 of Dahlonega Ga, formerly of Fitzgerald passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at his residence. Mr. Padgett had a distinguished military career as a radio operator and was the recipient of two Purple Hearts. He was a member of the VFW, American Legion, and the 3rd Marine Division. He enjoyed hunting and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Bonnie Padgett of Dahlonega; sons, Shane (Joanna) Padgett and Daniel Padgett of Nashville; eight grandchildren, and 10 great grandchildren. Mr. Padgett was preceded in death by his daughter, Melinda Shawn Jones.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Chula Baptist Church with Bro Dan Gibson officiating.
