Hazel Baker

Mrs. Hazel Baker, 79 of Lenox passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2019 at her residence. Mrs. Baker was born March 27, 1940 to the late John Roy Rowan & Essie Barton Rowan.  She was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Lessie Gene Baker of Lenox; children, Timmie Gene (Cathy) Baker of Adel, Tony Curtis (Jodi) Baker of Goldsboro, NC, David Royce (Melanie) Baker of Lenox, and Cathy Elaine Baker (David) Walker of West Berrien; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Ashlee) Walker, Hunt Baker, Chase Walker, Jarrod (Brittany) Baker, Benjamin (Kacey) Baker, Jessica Baker (Donald) Franklin, Courtney Baker (George) McLeighton, Dillan Baker, Austin (Haley) Baker, and Melena Baker; great grandchildren, Sydney Walker, Tyler Franklin, Zayden Baker, Colton McLeighton, Leigha McLeighton, Alta Grace Baker, Parker Rhea Baker, and Tristan Baker; and one brother, Melvyn (Sharon) Rowan of Adel.  Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by one brother, Curtis Leroy Rowan; four sisters, Mildred Rowan Langdon, Merle Rowan Ward Buckholts, Reba Nelle Rowan Walters, and Eleanor Rowan Watson.

Funeral services will be held Friday, September 27, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. at Pine Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Phillip Simmons officiating.  Interment will follow at Easters Cemetery.  The family will be receiving friends Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
