Guyla Celeste Harris

Mrs. Guyla Celeste Harris, 79 of Quitman passed away Friday, October 2, 2020 at her residence. Mrs. Harris was born February 4 , 1941 to the late Lewis Gordon Rentz, Sr and Laura Willaford Rentz. She worked as a teacher with the Brooks County Board of Education, and was a member of Ousley Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband, Larry Harris of Quitman; children Cris (Sandy) Watson of Memphis, TN, Tony (Lisa) Watson of Valdosta, and Lee Cain of Quitman; grandchildren, Shayna Watson, Kayla Watson, Joseph Watson, Robbie (Sylvia) Cox, Lindsay Cox, Alex Watson, Case Cain, and Charlee Cain; great grandchildren, Lillian Belle Watson, and Mia Cox; brothers, Gordon (Nancy) Rentz of Quitman, and Gary Rentz of Valdosta; and sisters, Rebecca Barker of Valdosta, and Dell (Raieigh) Barnes of Morven. 

Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Vaughn, and Rev. Clyde Stokes officiating. Interment will follow at Campground Cemetery in Morven. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home
