Mr. Gerald Williams, 72 of Quitman passed away Saturday, February 13, 2021 at his home. Mr. Williams was born March 28, 1948 to the late Elbert and Juanita Spell Williams. He was a member of the Quitman Church of Christ and a well respected banker for over 25 years. Mr. Williams was a loving husband, father, and poppy.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Vivian Williams of Quitman; children, Renee (Jeffrey) Rogers of Quitman, Heath (Malerie) Williams of Quitman, and Tammy (Brian) Rayfield of Hahira; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Jefferson) LeBlanc, Kennedy Williams, Tanner Rayfield, and Gibson Rayfield; great grandson, Sebastian LeBlanc; two sisters, Evalina Taylor of Lakeland, FL, and Carol Sherley of Quitman; host of nieces, nephews, friends, and amigos. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by four brothers, Berry Williams, Charles Williams, Randy Lee Williams, and James Ronald Williams; three sisters, Madeline Guest, Vera Peacock, and Martha Suttles; mother and father in law, Hoyt and Mildred Gilliam; son in law, Chris Jackson; sister in law, Harriett Tucciarone; and special friend, Kristy Harris.
Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Welcome Hill Church Cemetery with Minister Drew Suttles officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Gerald Williams to Georgia Christian School, 4359 Dasher Rd., Valdosta, GA 31601.
