Evolyne Williams Obituary

Mrs. Evolyne Reeves Williams passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 at the Presbyterian Home Quitman. Mrs. Williams was born September 30, 1927 to the late Henry Harley Reeves & Winnie Bowen Reeves. She was of the Baptist faith and all of her 95 years she lived a good life with a Christian up bringing. She loved her family very much. Mrs. Williams retired from working at Maddox Drug Store & Terry's Drug Store. She enjoyed raising animals, and growing beautiful flowers.

Survivors include her son, Stanley (Jackie) Williams of Valdosta; grandchildren, Samantha (Dr. Josh) Holley of Virginia, and Sabrinia Williams-Gill (Sheldon Gill) of Florida; great grandchildren, Sean Holley of Colorado, Morgan Holley of Virginia, and Scotlyn Gill of Florida; and one sister, Gloria Watson of Milledgeville; and several cousins, nieces & nephews. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Williams that passed away in 1984; brother, Robin Reeves; and three sisters, Daphine Tipton, Wavine Lightsey, and Jean Chandler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Maxwell - Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Norman, and Rev. Rev. Glenn Gray officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
