Elnor "Jackie" Jacquiline Tison

Mrs. Jackie Tison, 87 of Quitman passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2021. Mrs. Tison was born July 31, 1933 in Lenox to Clyde B. Orrick and Ada B. Barton Orrick. Mrs. Tison worked in many stores in her early years such as Eason Department Store, The Dime Store and The Royal Cafe. Later, she was a sitter for the elderly. Mrs. Tison loved doing this so much. She enjoyed working in the yard and seeing about her flowers. She loved her family dearly, but she loved Jesus Christ more than anyone. 

Survivors include her children, Alacia Meadows and Sammy (Bonnie) Tison; six grandchildren, Marty, Josh, Layla, April, Bonnie, and Karen; great grandchildren, Dakota, Marla, Haley, Gabe, Sadie Grace, Daniel, David, Emily, Ava, Kinsley, Brody, and Addison; one great great granddaughter, Georgia. Mrs. Tison was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Jelks Tison, Sr; daughter, Cynthia T. Mullinax; and two sisters.  

A graveside service will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Nick Hampton officiating. VIsitation wil be held one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. The family would like to thank Pruitt Health Crestwood for all their love and support with her care.
