Ella Ruth Herrin

Mrs. Ella Ruth Herrin, 86 of Quitman passed away Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Fellowship Home.  Mrs. Herrin was born February 18, 1933 to the late Earnest & Lilly Elma Cooksey.  She was a member of Union Baptist Church and enjoyed working in her garden and fishing.

Survivors include her daughters, Marilyn (James) Moore of Quitman, Jill (Massey) Hampton of Quitman, and Bonnie (Sammy) Tison of Quitman; grandchildren, Angelia Renee (Dean) Whitwood, Josh (Heather) Tison, and Nick (Rachel) Hampton; great grandchildren, Cody Dean Whitwood, Bailey James Whitwood, and Marla Tison; brother, E. F. (Cecila) Cooksey of Centerville, AL; and one sister, Rosie (Zeke) Horton of Centerville, AL.  Mrs. Herrin was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kenneth Herrin; and numerous brothers, and sisters.

Graveside service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Nick Hampton officiating.
