Edith Fields Obituary

Mrs. Edith Fields, 89 of Sparks passed away Thursday, January 14, 2021 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Fields was born August 11, 1931 to the late John Howell Strickland and Odessa Willis Strickland. She worked as a seamstress at Fitzgerald Underwear and was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her nieces & nephews, Tim and Linda Coombs of Hahira, Larry and Faye Meredith of Tampa, Pattie and Terry Redding of Hahira, Mike and Pam Coombs of Hahira, Leslie and Gary Hirsch of Jacksonville. Kenneth Conger of Texas, and Dean Strickland of FL,; brother and sister in law, C L and Christine Hamm of Colquitt Co, and brother, Wayne Bennett of Cook County sister in law, Nellie Mae Fields of Colquitt Co, and Kathy Strickland of Statesboro; numerous nieces, nephews and other family members. Mrs. Fields was preceded in death by her husband Glenn Fields and her daughter, Edith Ann Fields.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Omega City Cemetery with Rev. Ike Jefferson officiating.
