Doug Powell

Douglas “Doug” Edwin Powell, 58, of Adel, passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2020 at his residence in Nashville, Georgia.  He was born January 3, 1962 in Moultrie, and grew up at Reed Bingham State Park.  Doug was a graduate of Cook County High School (1980) and obtained a degree in engineering while working for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of Brushy Creek Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Georgia Powell, son and daughter-in-law Josh and Kellie Powell, daughter Samantha Powell, brother, Chet Powell, sister, Melanie Powell-Johnson, grandchildren Braelynn and Ellie Kate as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his father, C.J. Powell, and his grandson, Jack Powell.
