David McDonald, Jr.

John David McDonald, Jr, 58 of Sparks passed away Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at his residence. David was born July 20, 1963 in Brunswick, Ga. He graduated from Lowndes High School and attended VSU and attained a degree in finance. David had a great love for body building and was a participant in the GA. mr. Olympia Contest. He served as Branch Manager of Adel Financial Service, which was his families business. Of all accomplishments and achievements of which there were many, his most noteworthy was that he never met a stranger, and above all was a great encourager of his fellow man.

Survivors include his father and stepmom, Dave and Lana McDonald; and a hos of close relatives & friends. David was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Cannington.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Karl Wassmuth, Jr. officiating. The family will be receiving friends at 6:00 p.m. till time of service. Interment will be at Friendship Cemetery in Hahira.
