Danny Waters

Mr. Danny Felton Waters, of Brooks County, passed away Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the age of 68. He was born and raised in Quitman, GA to the late William Felton Waters “Snuff” and Stevelyn Carter Waters. Danny graduated from Brooks County High School and went on to receive a Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from Valdosta State College. Danny worked for the State of Georgia in the Georgia Correctional System. He served as Warden for many prisons in the state including Homerville, Wayne County, Calhoun County, and Valdosta State penitentiary where he retired. Danny enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He was a member of the Quitman Country Club where he spent his best days fishing and golfing with family and friends. Danny was a good man, a follower of Christ, a devoted husband, a beloved father of 3 children (Brandon, Stephanie, and Candace) and the best Grandaddy/PopPop to Liam, Landon, and Cameryn.  

Danny is survived by his wife, Ann Brown Waters of Valdosta and her family: his 3 children Brandon Waters and his wife Ashley Patterson Waters of Peachtree Corners, GA, Stephanie Seymour and her husband Ryan Seymour of Hahira, GA, and Candace Waters of Brookhaven, GA; his grandchildren, Liam Seymour, Landon Seymour, and Cameryn Waters.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Oak Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Hughes officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service. Please where a mask and practice social distancing.
