Danny Taylor

Danny Wayne Taylor, 76, of Newnan Georgia, passed away March 9, 2024. Danny was born in Quitman Georgia in 1947 to Jim and Rosa Lee Taylor. Spending most of his life in Quitman, he always considered Quitman home. Danny graduated from Brooks County High School in 1965. Shortly after graduation, Danny enlisted in The United States Air Force. Danny served his country from 1966-1970 and received an honorable discharge as Staff Sargent. After his military career, Danny studied Philosophy at Valdosta State University and graduated in 1977. Danny had a long career in logistics retiring from FedEx in 2009.

Survivors include his wife, Drinda Taylor; children, Justin Toth (Sandy), Nathan Toth (Whitney), Clinton Taylor, and Amanda Taylor; grandchildren, Mary Catherine Toth, Anna Leigh Toth, Keely Toth, Payton Toth, Landen Toth, Abbie Toth, Hudson Toth, Sutton Toth, Matthew Attleberry, and Katherine Littlejohn; and one brother, Jerry Michael Taylor. Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Jim and Rosa Lee Taylor; and brothers, Larry Taylor and Jimmy Taylor.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 21, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church Quitman with Rev. Steve Shierling officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please consider making donations to First Baptist Church Quitman or The Brooks County Library, it would be greatly appreciated.
