Danette Johnson

Danette Johnson, 62 of Adel passed away Friday, March 15,, 2024 at Tift Regional Medical Center. Danette was born September 8, 1961 in Adel to the late Duke & Edna Merle Hewitt Hobby. She worked with the Department of Human Resources with the State of Georgia. Danette lived most of her life in Cook County and was a member of Sparks First Baptist Church. She loved Jesus and her family, and she enjoyed arts & crafts. Her favorite season was Christmas, for what it meant to her.

Survivors include her husband, Leon Johnson of Adel; sons, Richard "Bubba" Bennett of Adel, and Landen Johnson of Adel; daughter, Kelli Ann Bennett of Sarasota, FL; sister, Debbie O'Vanion of Arnold, Maryland; and her furbaby, Jade.

Graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Tom Rodgers officiating. The family will be receiving friends Monday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
