Dale Shurtleff II, 46, of Nashville passed away on October 27, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center. Dale was born on March 19, 1977, in Valdosta to Dale and Laverne Shurtleff. As a young man, Dale served his country in the United States Army. Following that, he spent much of his adult life as a truck driver until he retired. Above all, Dale cherished his family. He was always eager to create lasting memories with those he loved, especially his grandchildren. Until the very end, Dale was a generous and loving person. His decision to become an organ donor allowed him to further enrich other people's lives. He was a member of The Bridge Church in Nashville.
Dale is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Shurtleff of Nashville; daughters, Kaitlyn (Tyler) Joyce Stone of Nashville, Chloe Sky Shurtleff of Ray City, and Emma Shurtleff of Perry; grandchildren, Maddilyn J. Stone and Jasper E. Stone; father, Dale Wayne Shurtleff Sr. of Ray City; mother, Laverne Roe Shurtleff of Ray City; brother, William (Leanne) Scott Shurtleff of Nashville; niece, Dakota Griffin of Ray City; and nephews Dalton Shurtleff and Clayton Shurtleff. Dale is preceded in death by their baby daughter, Zoey Shurtleff.
Services will be held at Purvis Funeral Home on Monday, November 6, 2023, at 3:00 P.M. Internment will follow the service at Westview Cemetery in Nashville. A visitation will be held at Purvis Funeral Home on Sunday, November 5, 2023, from 6-8 P.M.
