Clara Carroll

Clara Dalton Carroll, born April 5, 1934 in Turner County, passed away September 26, 2018 at Brightmoor Hospice. Her parents, Gola Dalton and Ella Nashworthy Dalton preceded  her in death, along with her sister, Etherene Brown, two husband, Melvin H. Henry and James E. Carroll.

She graduated from Tift County schools. Clara lived in Tift, Berrien, Cook, Hall, Clayton and Spalding Counties over the years. She worked for State of Georgia in clerical position and was a waitress at Fish King Restaurant in Forest Park a number of years. She was an avid reader. She loved gospel music and playing Bingo.

Clara leaves behind one daughter: Judy Hambrick (Ronnie) of Toccoa; two sons: Michael H. Henry (Judy) of Griffin, Richard M. Henry (Janet) of Clarksville; 11 grandchildren: Sherry Morris, Tonya Smith, Brandy Anderson, Ron Hambrick Jr., Rhonda Neal, Kati Hambrick, Amy Henry, Dalton Henry, John E. Henry, James E. Cleveland, Jonathan A. Cleveland; 19 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be held in Tifton, GA at Oak Ridge Cemetery on November 3, 2018 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Eric Gordon of First Assembly of God Church officiating.
