Charlie William Gilbert

Mr. Charlie William Gilbert, 62 of Ray City passed Sunday, March 21, 2021 at his residence. Mr Gilbert was born December 2, 1958 in France and retired from the United States Army. He was a member of the VVA Chapter #1090 of Adel and a member also of the VFW in Nashville

Survivors include his mother, Carolyn Gilbert of Ray City; nieces and nephews, Lucretia Griffin of Ray City, Rebecca Mikell of York, PA, and Ross Mikell of Lincoln, NE; great nieces and nephews, Dakota Griffin of Lenox, Austin Griffin of Ray City, Mikella Griffin of Vinton VA, Braelyn Griffin of Vinton VA, Arron Griffin of Vinton, VA, and Abigayle Oliver of Valdosta; brother, David Gilbert of Ray City, and sister, Bridget Mikell of Ray City. Mr. Gilbert was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy T. Gilbert.

A celebration of life will be held Friday, March 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Ray City United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Mitchell, and Bro. Don Bridges officiating. The family will meet and greet after the service.
