Carolyn Lacey

Mary Carolyn Lacey, 85 of Quitman passed away July 30, 2023 at Presbyterian Home Quitman. She was born November 6, 1937 to George A Howell, Sr, and Minnie Dee Bishop Howell in Greenville, Florida. Carolyn was a homemaker, and a child care provider for over 25 years. She loved her family and friends. 

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband, of 60 years, Earl C. Lacey,Sr.; brother, George A. Howelll, Jr.; sister, Virginia Kirkland; daughter, Carolyn Elaine Cashwell. Survivors include, daughter, Latricia (Paul) Boone of Jacksonville, Florida; son, Butch (Leslie) Lacey of Quitman; sisters, Betty Tuten of Madison, Florida, Sandra Tuten (Mickey) of Madison, Florida; brothers, Phillip Howell (Linda) of Madison, and David A. (Elaine) Howell, Sr. of Jacksonville, Florida; son-in-law, Tony Cashwell of Quitman; sister-in-law, Venita Lacey of Tifton; grandchildren, Garrison Muelhausen, Ryan (Devon) Cashwell, Katelyn Cashwell, Paul Boone, Jr, and Rebecca (Brandon) Redfern; great grandchildren, Sterlin Howell, Brett Cashwell, Wyatt Cashwell, Rydge Cashwell, Ember Redfern, Willow Redfern, and Weston Spires; and several nieces & nephews.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 3, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Larry Harris, Rev. David A. Howell, Jr., and Rev. Steve Shierling officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Oak Hill Cemetery.
