Carol Clayton

Carol Clayton, 52, of Nashville passed away on November 7, 2023, at her residence. Carol was born on May 30, 1971, in Ocilla to Randall and Carolyn Wynne. Among some of her life passions were fishing, shopping, and spending quality time with the ones she loved most. Her commitment to both her family and Long Bridge Church of Nashville will be fondly remembered.

Carol leaves behind her beloved husband, Jr. Clayton of Nashville; son, Ashley (Ashley) Clayton of Valdosta; daughter, Carmen (Nathaniel) Dowdy of Nashville; grandchildren, Carleigh Harris, Benjamin Harris, Drake Clayton, Amiyah Pittman, Brayden Pittman, Tyrese Pittman, and Trenton Douglas; mother, Carolyn Wynne of Enigma; brothers, Flint Tucker of Nashville, Robert Wynne of Moultrie, and Bobby Wynne of Jesup; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her father, Randall Robert Wynne, and her sister, Cathy Wynne. 

Funeral services will be held at Friday, November 10, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Pastor Jason Clinton, Pastor Jerry Ingles, and Pastor James Irons officiating. Internment will follow at Lawrence Cemetery in Tifton. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home from 6-8 P.M. on Thursday, November 9, 2023.
