Burt Moore, 75, of Adel passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, at his home. Burt was born on February 25, 1948, in Hornell, NY to the late Burdette Edgar and Barbara McAndrew Moore. Burt was a very successful Structural and Civil Engineer. He graduated from Syracuse University and then worked to obtain his Professional Engineer license. He was head of the Engineering Department at General Electric and and traveled to GE's many plants overseas. Until his death, Burt had his own engineering company, CRM Engineering. He was a cherished member of the Adel Wesleyan Church, actively participating in the community where he found a church family that he held dear. Years ago, Burt had a passion for golf and was an avid player. His love for sports wasn't limited to the golf course; he also enjoyed watching all of the Syracuse football games. He was also a charter member of the book club, in which he thoroughly enjoyed attending meetings and visiting with other members. Above all, Burt was a dedicated family man who treasured every moment spent with his loved ones. In both his church and family life, Burt left a lasting impact that will be greatly missed.
