Barbara Strickland Obituary

Mrs. Barbara Strickland, 81 of Quitman passed away Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at South Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Strickland was born Sept. 30, 1939 to the late Horace W. Johnson and Elizabeth Johnson. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Quitman.

Survivors include her children, Mary Martin of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Tom Frei of Dearborn Heights, MI., James Frei of Quitman, William Frei of Quitman and Robert Frei of Quitman; grandchildren, Christopher Frei, Shayne Frei, Kyle Frei, Timothy Frei, Brian Martin, Connor Martin and Katherine Martin; sisters, Ada Dodd of Quitman and Dorothy Johnson of Tallahassee.

Graveside service will be held Saturday, January 2, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Rev. Steve Shierling officiating. The family will be receiving friends one hour prior to the service at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home. In case of rain the service will be held at Maxwell-Purvis Funeral Home.
