Barbara Carol Simmons Hillhouse, 66 of Nashville passed away Sunday, August 13, 2023 at her home. Barbara was born January 11, 1957 in Cook County and was a member of Vickers Baptist Church. She was a very uplifting and encouraging person to many people in her life. She was loyal and dependable and loved by many. Barbara loved her dogs Buckshot & Little Bit and cherished every moment in her life in every situation.
Survivors include her sons, B. J. Hillhouse of Nashville, and Kevin Hillhouse of Nashville; daughters, Kelly Hendley (Matt McClelland) of Nashville, Carley Boyd of Nashville, Kayla Boyd of Nashville, and Lynn (Bryan) Vaughn of Nashville; grandchildren, Luke Brady, Shiloh Hendley, Riley Hillhouse, & Memphis Hillhouse; great grandchildren, Harper Grace Ray, and Kam Elise Wright; sisters, Amanda (Russell) Vickers, and Sheila (Marty) Schwab of Nashville; and several nieces & nephews. Barbara was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Daniel "Danny" Hillhouse; and grandchild, Jade Brady.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 16, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Long Bridge Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Purvis Funeral Home.
