Amy Pafford

Amy Handley Pafford, 43, of Ray City passed away Sunday, October 8, 2023, at South Georgia Medical Center in Nashville. Amy was born January 21, 1980, in Fitzgerald, GA to Darrell and Ann Handley. Amy attended and enjoyed going to The Cross Church and going to gospel sings at other churches. While God was close to her heart, so were the Georgia Bulldogs. Amy thoroughly enjoyed watching the Dawgs play and planning parties to celebrate the games. Dancing was also a favorite pastime of Amy's. Her kindness, generosity, and willingness to help others will leave a lasting impact on those who knew her.

Survivors include her loving husband, Emory Pafford of Ray City; sons, William (Dee Dee) Pafford of Sorento, LA, Buddy (Susan) Pafford of McClenney, FL, and Cavin Pafford of Ray City; daughter, Kim (Jerry) Pafford Tucker of Valdosta; mother, Ann Handley of Lake Park; sister, Deana (Gary) Wilfong of Lake Park; nieces, Katie (Richard) Pruet of Lake Park, Natalie (Devin) Tapp of Tifton, Jolie Bolt of Ray City, Haylee Wilfong of Lake Park, Cadence Wilfong of Lake Park, Bella Wilfong of Lake Park; nephew, Tye Pafford of Ray City; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Amy was preceded in death by her father, Darrell Handley.

 Funeral services will be Thursday, October 12, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Purvis Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Beulah Holiness Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
